The Durango-La Plata County Airport is the premier airport in the four corners area. We have daily service from Frontier Airlines, United Express, US Airways, and American Eagle.

The Airport has one of the longest runways in the four corners at 9,200 feet long and 150 feet wide. Our 36,500 square foot terminal opened in February 1988. We have service from three airlines, five rental car agencies, a deli and gift shop.

The Durango-La Plata County Airport is professionally staffed with professional Aircraft Fire Fighters (ARFF). The Durango-La Plata County Airport has 2 ARFF fire trucks with 750 lbs of dry chemical, and 1500 gallons of ARFF foam solution.

The airport receives approximately 50 inches of snow annually. The airport uses three large plows (24 foot blades), a broom sweeper, two 3500 ton/hour rotary snow blowers and a variety of smaller equipment to clear snow from the facility.

The Durango-La Plata County Airport is co-owned by the City of Durango and La Plata County. The airport is overseen by Airport Board of Commissioners.
