1. Welcome to Durango-La Plata County Airport

The Durango - La Plata County Airport (DRO) is the primary regional airport for southwest Colorado, northwest New Mexico, and the entire Four Corners Region.  DRO is served by American Airlines and United Airlines, offering daily non-stop routes to Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), Denver (DEN), and Phoenix (PHX).  DRO welcomed over 390,000 passengers in 2019 and contributes $293 million annually to the regional economy.

The Durango – La Plata County Airport terminal is experiencing a gradual increase in passenger traffic.  Please check with your airline for updates to their schedules.  Seasonal routes to Chicago (ORD), Houston (IAH) and Los Angeles (LAX) have been postponed until further notice.

 As a service of the City of Durango, our custodial staff is maintaining strict cleaning and disinfection of the airport terminal and passenger facilities as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Interim Guidance for Businesses and Employers. Airport Continues Normal Operations During Local Fires

Commercial and General Aviation services continue to be available at DRO during fire season.  Pilots and ground crews maintain ongoing communications to ensure safe activity for all inbound and outbound flights.
