The Durango Police Department offers several automated forms you can fill out online. Some of them require you to bring them in to the Police Department upon completion so they can be entered into our records management system.

Requesting Public Records

The Durango Police Department complies with Colorado Revised Statutes 24-72-201 through C.R.S 24-72-308 in relation to Colorado Open Records Law. Open record requests must be submitted to the Durango Police Department Records Bureau in writing. Please see Records Request Form (PDF) for fees and information. You must bring the completed form into the Durango Police Department Records Bureau Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The Durango Police Records Department accepts, cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover in person. If you are unable to stop by in person, please call us to discuss your payment options.

Lost Property

Please fill out this lost property form and it will be routed to our Property/Evidence Technicians for review. If you have questions, please call Property/Evidence at 970-375-4748.

Police Department Member Commendation Form

Please fill out this form for any member of the Durango Police Department, Sworn or Civilian, for a job well done, going beyond what is expected, or for any act of service that you feel that deserves recognition.

Paying Fines and Tickets

Parking tickets can be paid at City Hall or the Transit Center. Municipal fines can be paid at City Hall. The Durango Police Department does not accept payments for parking tickets or municipal or county fines. Please check your ticket or summons for proper payment locations.
