Skate Night with Disco Lights!

Get your groove on Friday and Saturday evenings from 7:30-9:00.  We turn the lights down low and laydown dance tracks from the 70s to current day pop.  All ages are welcome, and pricing is the same as public skate.

Youth Ice Skating School

The Youth Ice Skating School is a progression-based program for beginning ice skaters ages 4-15 years old.  Classes include skate rental and free skating before or after each class. Youth skating school is a prerequisite to organized hockey and figure skating. Sign up with a buddy, it’s always more fun when you have a friend in the same class. What to wear during skate lessons:  

Helmet-You will need to supply a well fitted helmet for your child. Bike, ski, skateboard, and hockey helmets work great. 

Skates-If your child has skates, feel free to bring them otherwise we supply rental skates at no additional cost on a first come first serve basis. 

Warm clothing and gloves-The rink is roughly the same temperature as the outside.  Please dress you child appropriately.  Gloves keep hands warm and protect against ice burns when you fall. 

Figure Skating

Introduction to Figure Skating – Age 6-18 

Prerequisite: Completion of Youth Ice Skating School. 

Students will learn Figure Skating Foundation Skills including edge-work, forward and backward crossovers, 3 turns, spins and jumps.

Adult Hockey

Durango Adult Recreation Hockey league 

This season will consist of 15 games with single elimination playoff.   The puck drops in November. Please register at your earliest convenience.    

November 8 -  April 15

 $2,850 per team before October 13th  

 If you are interested in joining a team, please email Matt.Nimetz@durangogov.org with the following information: Your name, age, division you'd like to join, position, and highest level played. The best way to find a team is to participate and meet fellow hockey players in drop-in hockey and stick and puck.
